The Power of Words
We’ve all heard the school age rhyme:
“Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words shall never hurt me.”
Even as toddlers we literally felt how negative speech and actions made us feel. Our parents tried to comfort us and ensure us that words were not going to hurt us… But words do hurt others and ourselves, both physically and mentally.
Science and Quantum Physics agree that everything is energy and everything has a vibration; including the thoughts you have and the words you speak.
Sound vibrates through water 4 times faster than it does through air. Our bodies are made up of 70% water. Those same thoughts, words and feelings quickly travel into your cellular bodies.
Our bodies are multidimensional beings, meaning that we have several aspects that make us whole. For our bodies to flourish, all aspects of our health must be working together and firing on all cylinders and in time. It is paramount that we continue to develop and strengthen each area of wellness to ensure our optimal overall wellbeing.
It is critical to your well-being to be mindful of your internal and external dialogue.
Optimistic thoughts have been scientifically proven to boost your immune system. What you say becomes your reality. When you focus on the negative, you live the negative. When you focus on the positive, you live the positive. Your mind, body, and soul all reap the benefits of your optimism.
Who do you do think is the most critical of you? Your boss? Your coworkers? Your family?
NOPE- it’s you!
Take for example:
1. You forget your grocery list, you say to yourself: “I am so forgetful!”
2. You accidently only paid $10 on your $100 credit card bill, you say to yourself: “I am so stupid!”
Be good to yourself, speak kindly to yourself, and love yourself!
A beneficial way to improve your outlook is through “I am” statements. Before your feet hit the floor in the morning say out loud, “I am going to have an amazing day!”
As you get ready in the morning look in the mirror and compliment yourself. “I am intelligent!” “I am beautiful!” “I am unstoppable!”
Throughout the day celebrate all the wonderful things you do and all the beauty you are.
Being optimistic helps you combat life’s stressors, be more physically active and eat better. All of these lower your risk of disease.
A couple of tips to help increase positivity:
1. Always look for the good.
a. Even if it’s a tough situation ask what lessons can you learn from it? How will this help me grow?
2. Use Apps
a. I have downloaded the “I AM” app. It sends beautiful and positive statements to my phone and helps keep me in
a high vibrational mindset all day.
3. Spend quality time with loved ones, children, family and animals.
4. Get outside and enjoy the sun and nature.
5. Smile more!
a. As you pass people in the store or street- SMILE. Even with your mask on, your smile shows in your eyes. When
you speak to others on the phone- SMILE- I promise they can hear your smile. Smiling boosts your vibration and the
vibration of the receiver.
6. Eat healthy nourishing foods. Your body will perform at a much higher level receiving the required vitamins and minerals.
Remember just how amazing you are, how much you have accomplished, how beautiful your future is and just how very much you are loved. Remember to speak lovingly to yourself, you deserve it!
